What We
Offer

Accessible Seating

HART’s seating layout is intimate and close to the stage, but our house also includes a steep incline with stairs. For patrons with mobility or accessibility needs, we strongly recommend booking seats in the first two rows, which are the most accessible seating options in the theatre.

If you have questions about seating or would like help choosing the best location for your needs, please contact us before your visit.

Assisted Hearing System

HART offers an assisted hearing system to help patrons better enjoy our performances.

If you would like to use the assisted hearing system during your visit, please visit the box office when you arrive, or contact us ahead of time so we can help prepare for your visit.  We require a photo id to borrow a listening device with earpiece.  Once you return the device after the performance, we will return your identification.  This is a free service and there is no charge to use the assisted hearing system at HART

We want every audience member to be able to hear and enjoy the work on our stage as fully as possible.

Emergency and Exit Information

For patron safety, HART maintains accessible exit routes throughout the facility. Fire exits are clearly marked, and staff are available to assist if needed.

If you have mobility concerns or would like guidance on the best entry, exit, or seating options for your visit, we encourage you to contact us in advance so we can help make your experience as smooth as possible.

Service Animals

HART welcomes guests with disabilities who are accompanied by service animals.

Under the ADA, a service animal is generally a dog individually trained to perform a specific task for a person with a disability.

Pets and emotional support animals are not considered service animals under the ADA.

For the safety and comfort of all patrons, service animals must remain under the handler’s control at all times.

If a service animal is out of control, not housebroken, or poses a direct threat to the health or safety of others, HART may require that the animal be removed. The individual may still return without the animal.

If you have questions about attending HART with a service animal, please contact us in advance and we will be happy to assist.

Wheelchair Access and Patron Facilities

Every patron-based location at HART is wheelchair accessible, including our restrooms.

We are committed to making sure patrons can access the spaces they need comfortably and safely while visiting the theatre. If you have any questions about navigating the building or would like assistance during your visit, please contact us before arrival.

Accessibility for Artists, Volunteers, and Staff

HART is committed to keeping our facility as accessible as possible for everyone who works, creates, volunteers, and performs in our space.

If you are an artist, volunteer, or staff member and need support or accommodations in order to fully participate at HART, we encourage you to reach out. We believe that everyone should be able to enjoy and engage with the HART facility, both onstage and off.

Please contact us at info@hart-theatre.org or 503-693-7815 so we can talk about how to best support your experience.
