Page to Stage
On Saturday, October 20th, HART Theatre is presenting a Playwright’s Showcase, taking a unique look at the creative process which takes a playwright’s work from page to stage with readings from previously unproduced plays or works in progress.
We are asking local playwrights to submit scenes no longer than 15 minutes and the best of these will be chosen to present as staged readings in an evening that encourages a dialog between playwright and audience members. But we need YOU to come and share your thoughts and opinions.
This evening of entertainment will begin at 7:30 PM. Six actors will read the scene(s), followed by a discussion of what has just been presented. There will be two readings and Q&A sessions, an intermission (yes, there will be warm cookies!), followed by two more readings and Q&A sessions and a lively discussion where you tell us what worked for you, and what didn't! Bring your inner director, be prepared to critique (kindly, of course), and don't forget your imagination!
Tickets are $5.00 each and will be available online, at the box office, or call the office to reserve your seats.
